After we started looking for USB equipped quality recording microphones, we discovered a USB2 version of this microphone had become available. This large diaphragm condenser microphone is useful in the studio for recording narration and vocals, and the USB version is just as good. It comes with a small free-standing tripod so if anyone requires a simple freestanding microphone for Podcasting, with full studio quality - this could be the one to go for! This particular microphone has sensitivity tailored to enable it to be placed close to very loud sound sources without any distortion being evident. The small mount also enables mounting on a conventional microphone stand.

USB microphones can be a simple and convenient solution to simple recording sessions, without the complication of external mixers and processing that are over-kill when dealing with just a single microphone.
